Recently I had the privilege of representing the sellers of a nice Dutch Colonial Home on a quiet side street in Medford MA. The owners had done some updates and enjoyed the home but were looking to move further out into the suburbs to a bigger house and start a family. A first time homebuyer purchased the home and is now busy putting his own stamp on it.

Reading MA Homes For Sale

Over the past couple of years, I've had the pleasure of listing and selling several homes for sale in Reading MA. In fact, just this morning I attended the closing for my listing at 31 Longwood Road in Reading, bought by a nice young couple who are first time homebuyers.
Earlier this year, I successfully represented the seller of this expanded Cape home, who was able to get out from under a tough situation and restart her life. And in one of my prouder moments as an agent, I listed this wonderful starter townhouse on Lowell Street, and sold it in only 10 days, after other offices had tried to sell it for several years without success.
Currently, I have this beautiful condo at Belmont Arms - 243 Main Street (Unit D12) in Reading - listed for sale. It is absolutely move-in condition with great updates. It would be the perfect starter home for a first time homebuyer.
Right now the real estate market in Reading is relatively strong. So if you're looking for homes for sale in Reading MA, I can help you as your buyer agent (for more information on buyer agency, CLICK HERE).

Wilmington MA Homes For Sale

I grew up in the great town of Wilmington MA. I have so many amazing memories of my time there. Growing up, I remember every Tuesday night my grandfather would come over and pick me up, and take me to Weinberg's (and later, after Weinberg's closed, to Tattersalls) for my weekly fix of comic books. I also remember going to Grant's department store at the Wilmington Plaza, and playing video games at the arcade that used to be where Big Joe's and the train station are now. And like every other kid in Wilmington, I took swimming lessons at Silver Lake.
I'm showing my age here, but I attended the Glen Road School (now the Town Hall) for my elementary years (except 2nd grade, where I attended the Whitfield School), 6th grade at the Shawsheen School, junior high at the West Intermediate School, and then graduated Wilmington High School (Class of '86, marking 25 years this year).
Most of the landmarks I just described are long gone, and what's left has changed greatly, but some things remain. Wilmington still knows how to do the Fourth of July right, with the annual carnival, the music on Wilmington Common, and of course the extremely popular firweorks display that draws residents from many of the surrounding towns as well.
For all these reasons and many more, Wilmington is a great town, retaining many of its small-town characteristics while attracting a diverse cross-section of people from all of walks of life, attracted as much by its unbeatable commuter location (4 exits off Route 93, two different commuter rail T stations) as they are by the great housing deals to be had right now.
Another plus: if you're looking for a condo in Wilmington, until a few years ago, you would've been out of luck, as there were only 2 or 3 units in the entire town. But now, there are some wonderful new and almost-new garden style condos as well as townhouses, ranging from the very-affordable to the luxury, high-end and even 55+.
So if you're looking for a condo in Wilmington, please visit my Wilmington MA Condos For Sale page. If you'd prefer a single family home in Wilmington, go to my Wilmington MA Homes For Sale page.
Both pages feature EVERY home for sale in Wilmington, from ALL real estate companies. And both pages are updated HOURLY, so check them frequently and you'll never miss a home, especially if you set up a recurring email search. And check out my EXCLUSIVE BUYER GUARANTEE, where you're guaranteed a win-win outcome if you select me as your buyer agent.
If you already own a home in Wilmington, I've got you covered too. If you're thinking of selling your Wilmington home, I'm happy to provide you with a Free Market Analysis - just CLICK HERE and I'll get it done for you right away, at no cost or obligation.
Why MA Home Buyers Should Use A Certified Buyer's Representative (CBR)
If you're a home buyer in MA, you should definitely enlist the services of a Buyer Agent to help you find your home. Over the last several years, Buyer Agency has exploded in MA. I've written about the basics of why it is important to use a Buyer Agent HERE.
However, it is important to note that not every agent who practices Buyer Agency in MA has been properly trained to do so. In fact, most haven't. So how do you, the consumer, ensure that you are hiring a professional that knows what he or she is doing?
Happily, there is an answer. You can enlist the services of a Certified Buyer Representative, or CBR. From the CBR WEBSITE:
Why Should I Be Sure My Buyer Agent Is A Certified Buyer Representative?
A recent survey completed by the National Association of Realtors shows that over 40% of the buyers are now represented in the real estate transaction. In some states, the figure is over 80%. Considering the rapid growth of buyer agency, it is imperative that a buyer find an agent who has been trained to professionally represent them in the transaction.
That, specifically, is the reason the certification mark CBR® Certified Buyer Representative was created. Issued in 1993 by the US Patent and Trademark Office, this mark allows consumers to identify a buyer agent who has been trained and who possesses the skills necessary to represent purchasers in a legal, ethical, and non-adversarial fashion.
Those agents who have acquired this designation have demonstrated their commitment to full client level service to the buyer. They are armed with forms, checklists, and disclosure documents to perform a level of diligence in the real estate transaction that is unparalleled in the industry.
When deciding on an agent to represent you, ask about their credentials and training. Many real estate agents attempt to practice buyer agency without acquiring the skills necessary to perform professional representation. The CBR designation assures you that the agent you hire has been trained and will perform to the level of the competent professional, working in your best interest to meet your personal needs in your next real estate transaction.
I am happy to say that I attained the CBR designation years ago, and have helped many home buyers since that time to find their perfect home. Nationwide, less than 1% of all REALTORs have achieved this designation, so it's a pretty elite group that I am proud to be a part of.
So please make sure you do your homework before hiring an agent to help you find a home in MA, and hire a CBR. You'll be very happy you did.
